Cadillac Type 51 Seat Belt
The Cadillac Type 51 is a large, and luxurious automobile that was introduced in September 1914 by manufacturer Cadillac as a 1915 mode. It was Cadillac's first V8 automobile, which replaced the four-cylinder Model 30.  It was also built at the Cass Street and Amsterdam Avenue factory in Detroit, with the body provided by a number of coachbuilders, including Fleetwood Metal Body in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. The Type 51 was also the first left-hand drive Cadillac—all previous models had been right-hand drive, which was continued as an option for drivers.

This was the vehicle to have back then, it was absolutely stunning, and it was very luxurious. The one thing they didn't have were seat belts. Seat belts started coming out in the early 1930s and in 1968 the federal government mandated that all new cars include seat belts at all seating positions. Seat belts are there to protect you from a car accident and are there to protect you from jolting around the vehicle.
