Volkswagen Sharan is a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that has been in production since 1995. In its second generation, it shares the same platform as the SEAT Alhambra. The Sharan resembles the Ford Galaxy. The Sharan had three MPV models that had subtle differences in the exterior as well as interior designs. As of 2007, there have been 50,000 vehicles sold within Europe, South Africa, as well as some Asia PAcific and Latin American countries. In total, Volkswagen has sold about 670,000 vehicles within 15 years.
