Seat Belt Repair in Concord

The town of Concord is located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Eighteen miles from the city of Boston, Concord was incorporated in the year 1635 as the first inland settlement in the MA Bay Colony. One of the things Concord, MA is most known for is for being the location of the first-ever organized armed resistance to the British. Additionally, Concord was the site of the first battle of the War for Independence—the Battle of Lexington and Concord. You may also know some of the famous people who have called Concord their home—Nathanial Hawthorne, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Bronson Alcott, and Louisa May Alcott.

If you visit the town today, you will have a ton of history to learn about and see, as the town has carefully maintained its literary and historic aspects. You can visit the Minute Man National Historic Park, the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, The Concord Museum, Old Manse, Old Hill Burying Ground, Monument Square, Merriam’s Corner, the Ralph Waldo Emerson House, Robbins House, South Burying Ground, The Wayside, Thoreau Farm, Wright Tavern, and Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House. Of course, those are much too many historical sites to visit in a short day trip or weekend visit, but it goes to show all of the histories the town has to offer!

If history is not really your thing, there are plenty of other things you can do while in Concord. You can visit some of the beautiful nature retreats, such as Great Meadows NWR, Walden Pond State Reservation, or Egg Rock—where two rivers meet together to create the Concord River. Or you can simply stroll through the downtown area of Concord and visit some of the different boutiques and shops there. One of my favorites, when I visited Concord with my husband not too long ago, was Winston Flowers. I wanted to buy all of the flowers and pottery!

Of course, before driving out to Concord for the day or for a weekend stay, your best bet would be to have your car in working order. Don’t let car troubles stop you from having the perfect little trip!
