What The City Of Northampton, MA Has To Offer

The city of Northampton often referred to as NoHo, is located in Hampshire County in Massachusetts. It is known as being an academic, quirky, and artistic hub.

If you enjoy strolling through a downtown area with an ice-cream cone in hand, Northampton is the perfect city for that. Aside from ice cream, you can also grab some hot tea at Dobra Tea, bubble tea at LimeRed TeaHouse, sushi at Osaka, or a variety of different foods at the restaurants lining the streets. You can also find several bookstores, antique shops, flower shops, art galleries, stationery stores, and clothing boutiques that will be calling your name.

One of my favorite places to visit when I go to Northampton is Thornes Marketplace. Usually, I’ll purchase a hot cup of tea and a pastry from Share Coffee, and then head over to Cedar Chest to browse through the variety of kitchen gadgets and cookbooks. I almost always find a kitchen accessory that catches my eye!

Whilst in Northampton, a few other great places to visit are the Botanic Garden of Smith College, Look Memorial Park and Smith College Museum of Art. If you love biking, perhaps you would like to visit the Norwottuck Rail Trail, which is a bike path spanning ten miles!

If you plan on visiting Northampton on a Saturday anywhere from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Northampton Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to stop by. There, you can find a variety of locally grown produce, fresh eggs, local meats, and so much more!

Because it is likely that you will be using your car to drive around Northampton (whenever you aren’t walking, of course) you should make sure that your car is running well before your trip. Check all the components in your vehicle—large and small. Everything from the tires to the seat belts should be working without flaw.
