This cute town has a lot to offer, with a charming downtown area and great recreation spots. Another place in South Hadley that I love to visit is Mount Holyoke. My husband and I just hiked this mountain the other day and really enjoyed it! We arrived at the top just in time for sunset, which made the views that much more beautiful. Upon arrival, the Mt. Holyoke Summit House was already closed, but we were still able to walk on its wrap-around porch to get a better look at the view below. The thing that we loved about our hike was that it wasn’t too difficult or long and we were rewarded with a great view consisting of trees, a river, fields, and even flying airplanes below!

If hiking and coffee shops just aren’t your favorite things to do, you may want to consider strolling through the Mount Holyoke campus. It is an older campus and the buildings alone are beautiful! The campus also includes the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, which is something you may be interested in visiting.

If you choose to drive through and visit the different locations in South Hadley, you should be mindful of the college students and pedestrians that often choose to walk in the downtown area. Be careful not to speed too much and in general, practice safe driving.
